Dr. Drew Watley

Hello!

Dr. Andrew “Drew” Watley is a mental health wellness coach, former therapist, educator, and speaker dedicated to helping people transform their mindset and reclaim emotional balance. He holds a degree in Theology and later earned advanced graduate training in counseling, equipping him with both spiritual depth and clinical insight that shape his holistic approach to wellness.

Before entering the mental health field, Drew spent nine years teaching religion, where he cultivated a love for meaningful dialogue, spiritual reflection, and guiding others through life’s most important questions. Originally from New Orleans, Drew made the bold move to Tucson, bringing his Southern warmth, cultural perspective, and strong sense of community with him.

After working as a therapist, Drew transitioned into coaching to create a more proactive, forward-focused model of personal growth. That shift led to the creation of Wellness Awaits, a wellness consulting practice centered on cognitive restructuring, emotional resilience, and intentional living.

Now, Drew is excited to bring his experience, education, and practical wellness strategies to Our Wellness Room Podcast alongside his cohosts, Tanya and Christa. Together, they create a space for honest conversations, actionable tools, and empowering dialogue that helps listeners grow mentally and emotionally.

Dr. Tanya Radecker

As a retired Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Reiki Practitioner, Dr. Tanya Radecker brings a vast array of knowledge and expertise to our team.

Her work with clients truly incorporates the mind body connection. After graduating from Louisiana State University with a B.A. in Psychology, Tanya started her journey to a nursing career by attending and graduating from Touro Nursing School in New Orleans. Her passion for working with newborns brought her to pursue an advanced position as a NNP. During her time working in NICU’s, Tanya was able to utilize her psychology degree while working with families in the Resolve Through Sharing Program. As a leader in nursing, Tanya served as the President of the Louisiana Neonatal Nurses Association and was honored to be included in The Great 100 Nurses in New Orleans.

As a native of New Orleans, Tanya moved her family from Washington D.C. back home to be near family and friends. New Orleans has such a unique culture and soul, Tanya wanted her

children to have that experience. After retiring as a nurse practitioner, Tanya focused on raising her three children and volunteering in the community. While volunteering, she assisted in creating a variety of programs including bullying prevention, identifying depression in children and talking about sex with teenagers. Additionally, Tanya created and presented a sexual assault awareness program for college students entitled Y.A.T.S.: You Are The Solution.

In 2006 Tanya decided to transition to a career as a mental health professional. She received a Master’s of Science in Counseling from Loyola University and later a PhD in Counseling

Education and Supervision from the University of Holy Cross. Believing that continuing education is vital in providing effective therapy, Tanya has dedicated hundreds of hours

advancing her skills in providing therapy. Tanya was the first Supervisor in Emotionally Focused Therapy in the state of Louisiana. She was a founding member of the Louisiana Community forEmotionally Focused Therapy and previously served as the Executive Director. She has completed training in Level 1 EMDR, Level 1IFS, Level 1 RLT and has advanced training in Intensive Trauma Therapy, Sex Therapy, Perinatal Mood Disorders and Substance Abuse Counseling.

Although a native to New Orleans, Tanya has lived in cities across the U.S. and traveled the world. Tanya feels her travels have provided her with a more open and holistic perspective of

wellness and life. Despite having a background in traditional Western medicine, Tanya focuses on utilizing the more alternative and Eastern approaches to health whenever possible. She

encourages her clients to utilize acupuncture, Reiki, aromatherapy, herbs, massage, yoga and mindfulness in achieving balance and cultivating Qi. In her private practice, Tanya’s focus is working with trauma survivors, in particular working with families and couples. Tanya has presented at conferences across Louisiana and lectured at several universities in the New Orleans area. Her 2018 book, “Perspectives of Divorced Therapists: Can I Get It Right for Couples?” was based on her dissertation research.
